Case Study: Cryoport’s Experience with Iris
CLIENT: Cryoport, Inc.
SERVICE: Data Maintenance Service
SUBJECT MATTER: Life Sciences
THE CUSTOMER:
Cryoport, Inc. is a market leader in the provision ofof temperature-controlled supply chain solutions in the Life Sciences sector, catering to a wide range of clients, including biopharmaceutical companies, animal breeding and reproductive medicine organizations, universities, research institutions, and government agencies. With a global presence spanning across 17 countries and 50 locations, Cryoport offers dynamic and life-saving cell and genetic therapies, both clinically and commercially.
OUR CHALLENGE:
Since 2021, we have been working closely with Cryoport on a variety of language-related projects, primarily focusing on procedure manuals and internal records for their employees across all international branches.
However, one of the main challenges we identified was the need to centralize and ensure long-term availability of each of the records provided for these projects, which are often extensive and numerous (our last project consisted of 165 files!). Additionally, one of the client’s objetives was to ensure the protection and efficient access to these files in a friendly format for all users within the company, regardless of their geographical location. In other words, the primary need was to securely safeguard these documents and be able to make them searcheable and accessible in a simple and organized manner.
OUR SOLUTION:
As a response to this need, we presented the client with our Translation Management System, Iris. Our platform provides a unique, organized and simple way to store files and follows all world-class best practices when it comes to security, including the ISO 27001 certification. This makes Iris a no-brainer solution for anyone looking to translate content and storage it securely for an unlimited time. Our Iris PRO solution, as opposed to our standard free solution, gives clients additional functionalities, such as storage expansion, unlimited groups, business lines and users, and potential integration with other storage solutions.
As a result, Cryoport has managed not only to consolidate all their files from the last 5 years, but also to improve organization and control by granting each member within the organization specific and segmented access tothese files. Furthermore, Iris’ functionality to automatically detect previously translated projects prevents file duplication and allows for the quick retrieval of files.
